Menashe Kadishman’s monumental sculpture, Horse, is installed near the 1848 Barn. Throughout his long career, Kadishman has produced a wide range of sculptures, earthworks, performances and paintings informed by the long history of his country, Israel and inspired by his belief that “art grows from feelings and not rational calculations alone.” In his early, more modernist sculptural works, Kadishman focused on form, tension, and balance, while later he would develop a looser, more expressive style, as presented in the current work, Horse.
